BLACKMORE'S NIGHT Singer Is 'Disappointed' The Group's DVD Hasn't Been Released
January 29, 2004BLACKMORE'S NIGHT singer Candice Night (wife of former DEEP PURPLE/RAINBOW and current BLACKMORE'S NIGHT guitarist Ritchie Blackmore) has posted the following update regarding the group's long-delayed DVD: "We did record a DVD in two different German castles. We were told by our record company in Germany that they would be releasing the DVD in 2003 but they haven't done it. I don't know why. So many people have written in to ask about it, I don't know what to tell them. I am disappointed too. I do hope that they decide to release it this year."
With regards to where the fans can find the band's promotions video clips, Candice said, "The video clips are in a few different places. I believe that 'Renaissance Faire', 'No Second Chance' and 'Shadow of the Moon' can be seen as part of the 'Behind the Music' video which you can get on the www.blackmoresnight.com website. There are video clips for 'Fires At Midnight', 'Home Again' and 'All Because' of you that SPV (our record label) told us would be released on the DVD. The video for 'Way To Mandalay' is on the US version of 'Ghost of a Rose', in CD-Rom version. And 'The Times They Are A Changing' was released on the special edition of the 'Fires At Midnight' album in the red velvet box released in Europe."
BLACKMORE'S NIGHT's most recent studio album, "Ghost Of A Rose", was released in the U.S. last August through SPV Records.
